Driven by the use of new technologies, the surveying and spatial information industry is emerging as a major player in the development of the nation’s economy.
A new Flexible Learning Toolbox (Toolbox) will help streamline learning pathways and fast track career progression within the in-demand industry.
Satellite City 12.02 provides customisable e-learning support for the Property Services Training Package, supporting four units from the Certificate IV in Spatial Information Services and the Certificate IV in Surveying.
The Toolbox guides learners through the processes involved in reading and interpreting spatial data; conducting a field survey; and managing, storing and presenting data in line with industry practices.
Toolboxes are learning design and customisation tools that can be cheaply and easily redeveloped to form complete training programs, meet individual requirements and help vocational education and training (VET) providers increase the flexibility and relevance of their e-learning programs.
Toolbox Champions operate in all states and territories and provide free advice, mentoring and professional development for Toolboxes.
