Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for Indigenous Australians

The project focused on developing a framework to allow Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for units of competency from the Certificate III Aged Care and Community Care courses to be offered online and reviewing of the existing Aged Care RPL Toolbox with a view to customising it to the needs of the target group.
The project improved access to e-learning for those who have cultural and language differences, including the use of Kriol to support English and support sound (spoken information).
The target group for this project was the management and care workers at Guwardi Ngadu Frail Aged Hostel in Fitzroy Crossing and a partner organisation which specialises in Home and Community Care (HACC).
