30/11/2009

The national training system’s e-learning strategy, the Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework), has opened tenders for up to $50,000 for a service provider to undertake research to investigate how past Framework-funded and supported innovations in e-learning have been sustained and mainstreamed.

The Framework conducts an extensive research program to assist the vocational education and training (VET) community in the uptake and embedding of e-learning.

This current research will focus on:

  • national and international literature review of current practice and future trends in the sustainability and mainstreaming of innovations into e-learning
  • review of selected Framework funded and supported projects
  • analysis of innovations and identification of factors that enable sustainability and integration to mainstream practice
  • development of in depth case studies
  • collaboration with the Business Manager to disseminate findings across the vocational education and training (VET) sector
  • production of a final report for publication.

The tender submission deadline is 2.00pm (SA local time) on Friday 22 January 2010. Go to the Benchmarking and Research page to download the research tender and to read about past Framework research projects.
