Introduction


The Framework's Community Engagement Project  is working to foster and embed e-learning within some of Australia's most disadvantaged communities and strengthen the foundation of workforce skills. The project aims to support economic and regional development and sustainability by creating close partnerships within training organizations and ACE providers.

Community Engagement Strategic Review (2005-2007)

Dr Kaye Bowman was appointed by Adult Learning Australia to conduct a stategic review of the Community Engagement Project.

Overall, the review found a 'good practice' model emerging from the Community Engagement pilots. To view the Strategic review click the pdf. file below.


Six projects have been selected to be funded in 2007. The selected projects have identified a range of models that can be replicated by communities across Australia - supporting economic and regional development.

This year there will be a strong emphasis on isolated learners living in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.

Building Creative E-learning Partnerships Workbook

This workbook is a companion to the E-learning on a Shoestring - a resource kit for creative communities (Resource Kit):

The booklet has activities for managers (section 3 and 4) and teachers (section 5 and 6). The activities are disigned to support a customised delivery of between five and seven hours worth of workshop activities.

Users may select the activities that best support their project objectives and learning needs. To download the Workbook download the PDF file below.
