2007 Projects
Project outline: LearnScope
The LearnScope Project will continue to build the capability of the VET workforce and VET organisations to embed flexibility in teaching and learning into their normal work practices through the adoption of e-learning.
In 2007, LearnScope projects will move further towards supporting uptake of e-learning in VET delivery in the classroom, workplace and online. There will be a stronger focus on professional development for LearnScope participants through engagement of students and industry in e-learning delivery and demonstration of how clients are benefiting from e-learning initiatives. Priority will be given to projects that actively involve students using e-learning during the project, incorporating e-learning into learning outcomes.
In 2007, LearnScope will also integrate the concept of life-based learning and capability development for the VET practitioner. The project's guidelines and activities will have transference and sustainability at their core, so that individuals and organisations that receive seed funding through LearnScope will:
- deliver flexible and responsive training and assessment solutions that meet client needs;
- transfer the skills they have developed into their general work practices;
- plan to sustain their skills in the medium to long term.
The 2007 project will also continue to support national VET outcomes and Framework priorities by targeting: areas of skill shortage, industry groups, Indigenous communities, community groups, learners with disabilities, disengaged learners and rural and remote learners.
