Australian Flexible Learning Blog and Site Web
Jo Murray
Jo Murray, Director Pelion Consulting Pty Ltd, Tasmania, Australia.
Many Australian leaders in flexible learning are engaged in rapid publishing and knowledge sharing using blogs and web sites, but how do we know what to look for and where to find it?
In this editable Concept Map (Cmap), Jo Murray has woven a web of linkages to key rapid publishers of flexible learning knowledge and practice. It is hoped that the Cmap will continue to grow and develop as more knowledge sharers (i.e. you) edit and update the Cmap and weave themselves into the network using the CmapTools software.
To do so, you need to:
- Download the CmapTools software and install it on your system - free from http://cmap.ihmc.us/
- Use the online CmapTools Help files and the FAQ at http://cmap.ihmc.us/Support/FAQs.php
- Click to open the ‘Shared Cmaps in Places’ window
- Click to open the ‘IHMC Public Cmaps (2)’ folder and scroll down to the ‘Knowledge Tree’ folder.
- Click to open the AustralianFlexibleLearningblogsiteweb Cmap file
- Amend the file with additional blogs and sites you think are worthwhile sharing. If you are browsing a web page and running CmapTools at the same time, you can drag and drop the webpage icon (left of the URL) over a concept to attach a link.
- Save the Cmap back to the Knowledge Tree folder on the IHMC Public Cmaps (2) server (UserID: knowledgetree Password:vet)
- Let Jo know you’ve amended it jomurray@southcom.com.au
If you’re using Internet Explorer, you may need to right click in your Information Bar and Allow Blocked Content to view the links.
Please contribute your knowledge and networks so we can all be aware of more good practice in flexible learning.
