While we don’t automatically associate the rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN) with horticulture, a project is currently underway to enable students and teachers to bridge the geographic divide of rural and regional Tasmania.
The Growing our future – Growing the NBN project will provide increased and innovative access to professional horticultural training for students in regional areas of Tasmania.

Eight trials investigating the way innovative technology-based delivery and assessment models can improve learners’ career and educational pathways through higher qualifications are now underway.

With nurses in high demand across the country, a West Australian training institute is trialling a new training delivery model for its nursing students.
The Limitless eLearning: Beyond the classroom project aims to establish the technology requirements for an interactive broadcast delivery model and the skills needed by lecturers, students and support staff.

With Australia moving to adopt a national qualification to enable workers to enter a construction site, a project is currently underway to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an immersive 3D computer game to deliver occupational health and safety (‘White Card’) certification training for the construction industry.
