Getting along

Some friendships are just too hard!! Just when I think I understand someone really well, I get it wrong. Some relationships suck!

Emma

We have many different kinds of relationships. There are girlfriends/ boyfriends, best buds, mates, parents and other family members, teachers and work mates.  Some of these e.g. best buds, are with people we choose, but some relationships e.g. workmates are not up to us to choose.

If they’re positive relationships, they should help us grow, rather than drag us down. Sometimes our relationships sail along but occasionally they have rough patches. When this happens, and it’s someone you’ve chosen to be with, you might wonder if you are getting what you want from the relationship. Does this person build you up or break you down?

Click on the activities below to find out about Emma's relationship with her boyfriend, Anthony, and to learn more about getting along.
